Yesterday Glocal hosted the yearly Joint Event that we organize together with our sister programs of the Braun School of Public Health & Community Medicine and the International School of Agricultural Sciences.
During the evening, Hallel Elnir, a Glocal graduate, made a presentation on his internship in Ecuador that caught everyone's attention. He talked about the project in which he worked together with the Tsachila people, an indigenous community with ancient traditions, on solutions for their food security problems.
The students also had the opportunity to hear a very interesting lecture by Dr. Jonathan Mirvis on Social Entrepreneurship and then they were divided by groups and had to bring up solutions for a problem the professor had raised.
It was a great occasion to mingle, to learn together, and to create an interdisciplinary network among our students.
