Every year Glocal produces a magazine centered around a chosen theme, that is relevant to the field of International Development. In 2019 the magazine focused on the relations between Development and the Environment, the content throughout the event explored this topic from various angles. Our honored keynote speaker was Prof. Alon Tal (Tel-Aviv University) which discussed the tension between Development and the Environment from a more macro level, through elaborating on environmental policies. This will be a fantastic opportunity to hear from our graduating students about their recent internships in developing countries, learn more about our program in International Development and welcome our keynote speaker - a Glocal alumnus.
Glocal is happy to update on the upcoming event for the graduation of cohort 8 of our students. The graduation event will take place on Wednesday the 13th March 2019, from 15:00 till 18:30, in Beit Meirsdorf Building in the Mount Scopus Campus in Jerusalem.We cordially invite all families, alumni, partners and those interested in Glocal to attend. Glocal's students and staff were happy to participate in the Pears Challenge 2019. Glocal's cohort 9 students Genevive Ogan Estacaan and Tatenda Probert Malan, together with Glocal teacher Imri Schattner-Ornan gave a talk in the Jerusalem launch event about their expeirence of working with Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) related issues in various situations and gave examples from their fieldwork in Bangladesh, Ethiopia and South Sudan.
