If you are an individual with a global perspective on the one hand, and an appreciation for local solutions on the other, come join Glocal, an MA in International Development, which offers a unique opportunity to gain development experience and to participate in advancing communities both around the world and in Israel.
On May 29th, 2018, the Glocal International Development program will participate in the Hebrew University Open Day in the Mount Scopus Campus. Glocal is an interdisciplinary program at the Faculty of Social Sciences integrating theory and knowledge from economics, political science, demography, anthropology, geography, gender studies and ethics. The program is designed to assist students in becoming professionals and academics creating sustainable solutions to strengthen disadvantaged communities and societies around the world. Don't worry if you haven't yet mastered your Hebrew, the program is taught in English.
A core part of Glocal is a four-month internship in a developing country or in Israel/Palestine. The internship is a remarkable experience that provides students an opportunity to work together with local communities, local and international organizations and a great starting point for their careers.
During the open day you will be able to visit our stand at the Forum of the Mount Scopus Campus (14:00 – 17:00). We will also have an explanatory session about Glocal in which you will have the opportunity to meet teachers, students and alumni of our program, and hear more about Glocal and International Development (15:00 – 16:00).
Please take two minutes and let us know if you will be joining the explanatory session by filling this RSVP form
