Dr. Nancy Strichman, one of Glocal's core lecturers, has recently published, together with Dror Eitan and Fathi Marshood, the Guidebook for Shared Society.
This guide, which can be downloaded here (Hebrew and Arabic), is based on participatory research with Arab-Jewish organizations in Israel. It is the product of years of research and fieldwork carried out with directors of shared society organizations in Israel. The document explores the unique challenges and offers a framework for addressing the many complexities of the day to day organizational dynamics.
Furthermore, it demonstrates how these organizations are "laboratories", working to build a more shared society, in a context of constant tensions between the Jewish majority and the Palestinian minority in Israel.
It is the product of years of research and fieldwork carried out with directors of shared society organizations in Israel, with a special thanks to the contribution of the Abraham Fund Initiatives, AJEEC-NISPED, Givat Haviva, Maapach-Tagrir, Sikkuy and Tsofen.
The guidebook is based on academic research which can be downloaded in English here.
