Born in Jerusalem, Israel, I have a BFA in Theater Design from Tel Aviv University. Between 2001 to 2006, I lived in New York City, completing an M.A.L.S degree from Empire State College of Liberal Studies and Studio Art. In parallel with my work as an artist and Illustrator, I am an avid traveler. In 2012, I visited southern Africa, the trip was life-changing, exposing me to the worldwide plight of wildlife and wilderness. Since then, I have sought to use the arts to raise awareness, action, and hope around the issue of protecting nature, and to support global efforts to reduce climate change and anxiety. Art-making for me is an exploration based on a mix of personal and collective influences. My artwork is expressive yet misleading in its naïveté. In my work, I am trying to convey an idea, vision, and a message; to take the viewer on beautiful and dreamy yet slightly disturbing experiences, triggered by actual events and locations combined with fictional ones.
