Ayelet was born in Kibbutz Amiad in the Galilee region of Israel. During her BA studies in Political Science and Sociology, she specialized in the international field and did an internship in Society for International Development (SID). Ayelet did her 4-month GLOCAL internship with Teach A Man To Fish in Kigali, Rwanda. During her internship, Ayelet conducted interviews with teachers, students, and graduates around Rwanda, her objective being to show the successes of the organization to its stakeholders and donors through personal stories. She also performed M&E tasks, conducting focus groups and questionnaires toward the end of the yearly program. She developed a work plan for launching a graduate’s Facebook group for the program and developed proposals for fundraising events.

Teach a Man to fish means teaching students how to “fish” for their own income, in order to reduce youth unemployment in Rwanda. Through learning business planning and implementation, students develop skills like leadership, creativity, and teamwork, which in the future will serve them as tools for independence.
