Lidor Cohen was born in Migdal Haemeq, Israel, and received his undergraduate degree in Economics and International Relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2017.

Lidor conducted his internship in Lima, Peru with Ocupa Tu Calle, a local organization seeking to reduce inequality of access to quality public spaces through the recovery of unused and abandoned spaces, through participatory, small-scale community urban interventions. As part of this, Lidor participated in social mapping processes and assisted the organization in its project evaluation. Along with his work in the field of urban public space, he also learned about additional challenges of the city's residents, related to other fields such as migration, environment, poverty, and crime.

What is a city? An endless debate. The character of the city is not defined only by its roads and buildings, but first and foremost by the people living in it.

Today's cities are planned for adults and their cars, whilst on a daily basis, they must be flexible enough to serve a variety of users: the elderly, children, women, differently-abled, etc. Therefore, urban development processes must be directed to the needs of the weakest populations in the city, not only as a moral statement but as a common ground to improve the city for everyone.
